Fusion 95 Carbon is based on the same modern geometry as the award-winning all-mountain model Fusion 95, but with a lightweight and advanced carbon fibre construction.
We have chosen to maximize the performance in terms of edge grip and dampening in relation to weight to create as versatile carbon fibre skis as possible. The result is a playful and freeride-oriented touring ski with fantastic performance in all kinds of different snow conditions.
Fusion 95 Carbon is developed for the skier who is looking for a touring ski within the all-mountain segment and who prioritize great ski characteristics when descending the mountain, before the absolute lightest weight when ascending. These ski characteristics also makes Fusion 95 Carbon very suitable as a playful all-mountain model in the ski resort.
For the skier who primarily intends to go ski touring, we recommend mounting a tech binding (for example Alpinist 10/12 or ATK R12/FR14) to minimize the total weight. For the skier who intends to use the skis for both ski touring and resort skiing, we recommend a hybrid binding (for example Shift or KingPin) to get as good power transmission to the skis as possible, even if this means a higher total weight.
The construction in our Fusion Carbon models is based on a wood core of snappy poplar and lightweight paulownia, together with two layers of 70 mm wide pre-preg carbon fibre stringers. In the tip we have added the ultra-light space technology material Tubecomb to minimize the swing weight of the skis. In the tail we have an insert of ABS for easier attachment of touring skins. In the length 179 cm, the weight per ski is 1640 g.
If you are looking for the same characteristics, but in the freeride segment, the wider Fusion 105 Carbon is an alternative. If you want even lighter carbon fibre skis for ski touring only, the ultra-light Fusion 95 Carbon Ultra is a great choice.

To reduce the swing weight of a pair of skis we use the ultra-light material Tubecomb in tip and tail. These cylindrical tube structures were invented for the aerospace industry as the ultimate energy and vibrations absorber. These properties of the material, in combination with its light weight, is the reason for using Tubecomb in our skis.
Poplar/paulownia wood core
Our light-weight skis are made from a knot free, vertically laminated wood core of snappy poplar and light-weight paulownia. This combination of wood gives a playful, lively and nimble character of the skis. A CNC-milled and integrated 55x650 mm wood plate of beech secures the mounting of the binding.
Prepreg glass and carbon fiber
We are quite unique to use dry Prepreg epoxy resins instead of letting our employees handle liquid epoxy when building skis, which is otherwise practice in the ski industry. Our glass and carbon fiber rolls come industrially impregnated with HexPly M78 from our supplier Hexcel, a world-leading producer of advanced composite material for the aerospace industry. This results in a dry, safe and great work environment for our ski builders and significantly increases the quality of the skis.
Austrian race base
We like to ski fast! Therefore, we use highest quality Isospeed 7515 race bases from Austrian Isosport GmbH. These running bases are made of ultra-high density polyethylene with high quality graphite for best gliding properties in a wide range of conditions.
Extra thick steel edges
For maximum durability of our skis, we purchase one piece steel edges from the well renowned Waelzholz GmbH, who have manufactured steel edges in Germany for over 50 years. We use their extra thick and durable Profile 132 that is 2,3 mm high and 2,2 mm wide for all models except Fusion 95 Carbon Ultra, where we use a 1,9 mm high and 1,5 mm wide edge to minimize weight.
Extra wide ABS sidewall
For maximum durability of our skis, we use extra wide 8,5 mm ID 2500 ABS sidewalls from Austrian Isosport GmbH (compared to the ski industry standard width of 5-6 mm).
For best wear performance and abrasion resistance, we use sublimated 0,55 mm Isocap ICP 8210 top sheets with structured surface from Austrian Isosport GmbH.
