Project 90 Woman is the model for someone who is looking for a slightly narrower allmountain ski with excellent performance and a solid edge grip, but still playful in its character and quick from edge to edge. In other words, a model for those who are looking for an allmountain ski where the piste characters are the highest priority. A ski where you ride 80 % in the slopes and 20 % off-piste.
The Project series is developed to conquer the demanding and often very mixed snow conditions of our home mountain in Åre. A winter for us starts with icy pre-season slopes and ends with spring skiing at Easter. In between comes mid-winter with cold and perfect snow. If you as a skier enjoy arcing GS turns in the slopes, but want to be able to go off-piste once the conditions are right, then Project 90 Woman is a very good choice.
The skis are built with race rubber dampening in tip and tail to minimize vibrations in harder snow conditions, as well as two layers of full-width titanal to make the skis both torsional stiff and stable at higher speed. The small rocker in tip and tail provides a long edge grip when carving the skis, plus that the rocker provides floatation and makes skiing so much easier in soft snow. Project 90 Woman has a wood core of pure poplar. This gives a more light-weight and playful character, compared to the unisex model Project 90 that has a heavier and more stable wood core of poplar and beech.
If you are looking for a ski with pure piste characteristics, Project 83 can be an alternative. If you are looking for a more playful and soft snow-oriented allmountain ski, Mothertree 95 or Fusion 95 could be two interesting options.

Poplar wood core
The knot free, vertically laminated wood of snappy poplar is a medium lightweight core that gives a playful character of the skis. Combined with Titanal the skis become stiffer and torsional rigid yet keep its playfulness. Without Titanal the skis are just super playful. A CNC-milled and integrated 55x650 mm wood plate of beech secures the mounting of the binding.
To increase performance in terms of superior edge grip and high-speed stability, we add 0,4 mm Titanal to the construction. Titanal is the highest strength aluminium-alloy manufactured in an industrial standard process, originally developed for the aerospace industry. Titanal is a registred trademark, owned and produced by AMAG Austria Metall AG.
Race rubber dampening
To minimize vibrations in hard snow conditions, such as icy slopes and wind packed off-piste, we use 1,5 mm race rubber dampening in the tip and tail from Austrian Haberkorn GmbH. We also use 0,2 mm rubberfoil in the skis to further strengthen the construction and increase bonding between different materials.
Prepreg glass fiber
We are quite unique to use dry Prepreg epoxy resins instead of letting our employees handle liquid epoxy when building skis, which is otherwise practice in the ski industry. Our glass fiber rolls come industrially impregnated with HexPly M78 from our supplier Hexcel, a world-leading producer of advanced composite material for the aerospace industry. This results in a dry, safe and great work environment for our ski builders and significantly increases the quality of the skis.
Austrian race base
We like to ski fast! Therefore, we use highest quality Isospeed 7515 race bases from Austrian Isosport GmbH. These running bases are made of ultra-high density polyethylene with high quality graphite for best gliding properties in a wide range of conditions.
Extra thick steel edges
For maximum durability of our skis, we purchase one piece steel edges from the well renowned Waelzholz GmbH, who have manufactured steel edges in Germany for over 50 years. We use their extra thick and durable Profile 132 that is 2,3 mm high and 2,2 mm wide for all models except Fusion 95 Carbon Ultra, where we use a 1,9 mm high and 1,5 mm wide edge to minimize weight.
Extra wide ABS sidewall
For maximum durability of our skis, we use extra wide 8,5 mm ID 2500 ABS sidewalls from Austrian Isosport GmbH (compared to the ski industry standard width of 5-6 mm).
For best wear performance and abrasion resistance, we use sublimated 0,55 mm Isocap ICP 8210 top sheets with structured surface from Austrian Isosport GmbH.
