Built to last
Our philosophy is to make skis that are fun to ride but can also withstand the rigors of many winters in the mountains. It's better for your wallet and the environment.
That's why we have chosen materials with care and use as large a proportion of recycled and bio-based materials as possible, without compromising the longevity and durability of our skis.

Prepreg
We use sheets of glass and carbon fiber that come pre-impregnated with epoxy, which means our staff doesn't have to handle liquid epoxy. Pre-preg distributes the epoxy perfectly and evenly throughout the skis, making them stronger and lighter.

Extra thick steel edges
We believe that a pair of skis should be easy to sharpen and repair, and not thrown in the trash just because you hit a rock and got hit. That's why we use the thickest steel edges in the ski industry.
Our steel edges consist of 20% recycled material.

Extra thick ABS edges
Our ABS sidewalls are extra thick to absorb shocks and impacts better, and thus last longer.
All ABS sidewalls are made from 70% recycled material.

Specially ground structure
The arc-shaped structure of our skis is specially designed by Extrem to provide optimal glide in cold snow.

Heavy-duty topsheet
We use sublimated topsheets with a structured surface. Of all the topsheets we have tested, this is the one that resists impacts and scratches the best, and gives the best lifespan to the skis.

Race bases
Fast skis are good skis. That's why we use Isospeed 7515 race base made of extra high density polyethylene and high-quality graphite for optimal glide in all snow conditions.

ABS tail insert
A durable ABS insert in the tail provides increased protection against delamination when the skis are placed down on a hard surface.
The insert on our models for touring and freeskiing has also been fitted with a shape that provides better retention for the tail attachment of climbing skins.
