Extrem Ski Co introduces the dual Böa A.R.S. technology

Åre, Sweden. April 1, 2025.

Introducing the dual Böa A.R.S. technology. The one ski to do it all.

Extrem Ski Co, based in the mountain town of Åre, Sweden, is one of the world’s longest serving, independent ski manufacturers. Dating back to 1997, our ski designs have been at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, handcrafted by skilled hands in our own factory in the Swedish mountains, which operates on 100% renewable energy.

Now we’re proud to announce the dawn of a new, groundbreaking technology for our skis–one that pushes the limits of ski design and smash open the barn doors of endless possibilities: Böa A.R.S. – Adjustable Rocker System. This innovation features dual, micro-adjustable, turn dials in both the tip and tail, allowing you to fine-tune the rocker profile to match the conditions ahead.

With the A.R.S. system, you no longer have to choose between a powder ski or a groomer ski for your days on the mountain. The Extrem Factory 102 A.R.S. redefines versatility, making the outdated concept of a ski quiver obsolete. With a simple turn of a dial—or four, to be exact—your skis adapt instantly to any snow condition, even on the fly as you zip down the mountain.

The Extrem Factory 102 A.R.S. is essentially two skis in one—a top-tier powder ski and a high-performance groomer ski. The days of weak compromises are over; this is the dawn of a new era in ski technology.

Extrem team rider Tom-Oliver Hedvall has been an integral part of this project, successfully concluding his decades-long search for a ski that can handle everything, and excel at it.

– As a traveling skier, I spend a lot of time on trains from Sweden to the Alps, and hauling a big ski bag with two or even three pairs of skis gets frustrating fast. At the same time, I need skis that can handle the wide range of conditions I encounter on every trip. That’s why I’ve dreamed of a ski like this for years. When I shared the idea with the Extrem crew, they ran with it—and what they created blows my mind. It truly is the one ski that can do it all.

Extrem factory manager Patrik Söderlund is no stranger to innovation—trailblazing snowboard construction in the early ’80s and masterminding groundbreaking skis like the Extrem Butcher’s Hook and Formula 88. However, developing A.R.S. technology brought its own unique set of challenges.

– When designing this system, we had to push the boundaries of what was possible in our factory. But thanks to our skilled team and cutting-edge machinery, we turned what once seemed impossible into reality. I’m certain that A.R.S. technology is just the beginning of a new wave of breakthroughs in ski construction and design—and we at Extrem are leading the charge into the future.

The Factory 102 A.R.S. is available for pre-order through Extrem Ski Co, with deliveries expected by the end of September 2025. Probably.
