One thing we at Extrem take real pride in is that our skis are designed, tested, and built by a tight-knit group of passionate skiers. If there’s one thing that runs through all our models, it’s that we tend to favor skis that are well-dampened yet lively, with a smooth, balanced feel.
Those exact traits seem to have struck a chord with the ski media this season — we’ve taken home no fewer than three (yes, three) test wins this year.
In other words: test-winning passion, straight from the foot of the mountain!
Åka Skidor hailed the blend of versatility, smooth turning, and power of the Extrem Factory 102, giving it a gold medal in the freeride category.
"The Factory 102 is a ski that’s effortless to get along with. Overall, it’s a well-built Swedish ski that performs reliably across all kinds of terrain and snow conditions."
Norway is home to some of the best ski touring on the planet, so when their leading ski magazine Fri Flyt praised the Extrem Drifter 102, it really means something.
"If your biggest goal in life is to have fun on skis, pay attention here. You can feel it right away — these skis are incredibly easy to handle, and with the Drifter on your feet, just about anything becomes fun.
If you’re a playful ski tourer, the Drifter 102 is the ski for you."
Sweden's biggest skiing website Freeride.se tested 37 current skis in their all mountain category. Coming out on top with a score of 5 out of was the Extrem Formula 88.
"The Extrem Factory 88 is a great all-mountain ski that can truly handle just about anything on the mountain. If you love short carving turns, this one’s a dream. It’s the perfect family ski — you don’t need particularly steep slopes to lay your hips over with the Extrem Formula 88.
The Extrem Formula 88 is a playful and easy-to-handle ski that turns on a dime. Thanks to its generous width and rocker profile, it handles the whole mountain with ease — but it truly shines on gentle, hard-packed groomers. It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much fun on the slopes."
Freeride.se tested the Project 91 and came back with raving reviews: 4.6 out of 5.
“I’m a big fan, I love it! I could definitely buy it right here today."
Freeride.se gave the Icon 90 4,3% points.
"A really nice groomer ski that I think will suit a lot of skiers — both advanced and intermediate ones."
The testers praised the Fusion 95 for its allround capabilities and how it adapts to the terrrain.
"This is the definition of an allround ski. It covers just about everything and is a perfect fit for variable conditions."
The testers gave the Factory 112 a 4,5 score out of 5.
"For me, this is about as close to a perfect score as it gets. With everything this ski delivers — and the versatility that makes it useful and reliable every single day on the mountain."
